So this fall we have a intern program going on. We have three interns from the states: Kelsey, Michael, and Yoshi. They spend several days a week working on the site with Bart, who is in charge of all the construction stuff up on the mountain, and then the rest of the time with me reaching out to our local community. It is an awesome opportunity for them and us to really see the Kingdom of God revealed in our lives and others. It is a liberating experience to catch glimpses of the Kingdom and realize the question isn’t “Lord what do you want me to do?”, instead it is “Father what are you already doing and how do you want me to be part of that?”

So as the Father has been teaching us to seek him in “what he is already doing”, we have come to realize something more and more as time progresses. That “something” is that He has prepared creation for the revealing of His Kingdom, not only prepared but originally created all creation to function under His reign--- this was lost in the Garden of Eden. Now he is restoring His Kingdom and re-establishing His reign through His sons and daughters. In Romans 8 it says, “all of creation awaits eagerly for the revelation of the sons of God.” We can understand the “sons of God” as us--- the church, believers--- and as “sons” we have an authority. Not an authority that we have created, manipulated, or deemed ourselves with--- instead it is the authority of the King of Kings. We are His authority on earth, we are His glory, His revelation.

Recently we were on a treasure hunt. Not your typical treasure hunt with pirates, gold, knives, and what not--- but more on the lines of God’s treasure. Setting out in prayer and worship in hopes to find God’s treasure (people) so that He may bring about the revelation of His Kingdom. It is a real simple thing to seek the Father in. We just sit down and ask the Father to reveal to us anything--- descriptions, places, names, problems, etc… We individually write down practically anything that comes to mind on a sheet of paper and then compile everyone’s list and follow after the clues together, especially those that were repeated. This week we got several clues like: a tree at a soccer field, an old man sitting under a tree, a red shirt, glasses, sandals, and a problem with a leg. So we set out to see what the Lord was doing with this. We arrived at the soccer field around the corner from my house and sat down with a bunch of kids we know and were just cutting up with them. We looked about 50ft from us where there was a large tree and a older man sitting down with a red shirt draped over his shoulder and he was wearing some blue sandals. About that time he stood up, put on his glasses, and began limping away on his left leg. Interesting right?

We began to marvel and laugh at how funny it is that the Lord would show us all these things separately and then reveal them all fully together. As we were talking amongst ourselves the kids we were with began to say, what are you saying (we were speaking in English and they couldn’t understand)? We began to explain to them this concept of treasure hunting and all the Lord had shown us and how we were about to go pray for that man who went limping away. Their responses were all different--- some didn’t understand, some thought it sounds different, and some were skeptical.

We went over to the man, and some of the kids followed, and explained to the man (Juan) all these things and asked if we could pray over him. We laid hands on Him and just prayed whatever the Father showed us. And that was that. Now what happened there? Juan limped away and the kids eventually walked away mid-way into the prayer. Was it because he didn’t believe enough, or we didn’t believe enough? I don’t think it is either of these. But what was going on? What about the kids? What is God trying to show them? I have no idea, but the Lord didn’t call us out to fret, worry, or get wrapped up in how He is going to bring His revelation. He called us out to be His revelation, and He will reveal Himself through us as He sees fit---- it isn’t necessary for me to answer all the questions. So as for Juan and the kids--- I don’t know what God did specifically. One day we will see clearly what all this means, right now all I know is His Kingdom calls for this simple obedience.
