For the last several months we have been praying to see whether the Lord would see fit for one of our Costa Rican friend/worker, Diego, and I to travel to one of our fields in the Middle East. Several friends and family members stepped forward to provide the money to get Diego's passport and US Visa, as we will have to pass through the US prior to heading East. Next Monday we go for the Visa appointment hoping all goes well.But we still need a lot more funds to make this trip possible. If you would feel led to give to this mission, please e-mail me jason@jasonysarah.com. The current funds needed are about $2,500 USD. We have to decide this week as to whether or not we are going due to airline ticket prices and process time for visas to our destination. I like to provide a disclaimer with my request--- this is nothing more than to inform you (the reader). Our heart is not to manipulate, oblige, or pressure anyone into giving or doing something the Lord simply is not leading them to do. So if you sense no obligation and the Lord is leading you this way, please e-mail me so I can tell you how to send the money to ATC and so we will know whether or not the trip is a "go" for us.
The basics of the trip is that we will be traveling to this particular country to share the gospel through a cycling tour. The country we will be going to has a population of roughly 19 million people and it would be a stretch to say that there are 100 national followers of Jesus Christ. It is a land of dark Islamic oppression. We believe the Father wants to bring light into this darkness. So pray with us this week as to whether this is a time for us to bring the light of Christ into the darkness of the middle-east.
