It seems like the word "sustainable" is spread all over the place in recent days, months, and years. Whether talking about small pockets of people in East Congo or sources of energy for the United States---- "sustainable" seems to be a new catch phrase. We have recently found ourselves in the midst of a new Answering The Call ministry here in Central America. The Lord gave us the vision of starting an internet café to serve and integrate with the local community where we live. The vision is that we have an everyday forum of ministry that is part of the community where many will come to know the love of God. What is neat about this new frontier is that it has great potential in becoming a fully sustainable ministry not requiring monthly donors, fund raising, etc... Does this mean you don't have to trust God for provision? Of course not, you just begin to trust Him in many new and different ways.... either way He is Provider. Sustainability does not equal self-sufficiency.
Café Perica launched in mid-March and is well on it's way to becoming a sustainable ministry. But we still need to develop some areas of the 'business' so that it will be able to stand alone some day. I am attaching a list of some items we feel would develop the 'business' further allowing for sustainable ministry to take place. If you feel the Lord would lead you to join us in creating more sustainable ministry through Café Perica by donating toward the purchase of any of the following items please let me know via e-mail: jason@jasonysarah.com.
