El Tsunami

We are hanging out here in the capital city utilizing the free wireless internet while we can. The current status of our house phone (which would give us internet access) is NO SE. Sarah's parents have been here with us for one week now. We gave them the grand tour of our home and then came back a little early to do some site seeing the capital. We took them on a river tour just south of us and had the amazing opportunity of seeing some scarlet macaw. This was the third time we had this opportunity, every time it is amazing.We also had an entirely new adventure while they were here. One night I was going to the internet cafe to book a hotel room when one of my neighbors stoped me. He proceeded to tell me that there was an earthquake in Peru and that our area was under Tsunami alert. Our entire community evacuated their homes for several hours. Thankfully it was nothing more than an alert, but it was good to know that the community informs one another of such things so quickly. We have wondered if we would know anything about natural disasters like hurricanes if they are coming--- it seems that their current alert system is working: Word of Mouth.

The project continues. The third floor has been poured, back fill is going behind the retension wall, and form boards are going up on the columns of the third floor. Hopefully we will have the retension wall filled and they can begin making the extension of the third floor.

We will be traveling here soon and will need your prayers. We do not know exactly what lies ahead, but we are excited. We will be leaving to the Middle East for 4 days and then Ukraine for 6. We will be sharing about missions and what the Lord has us doing here in Central America with kids of a Messianic Jewish Congregation. It will most likely be something very new and different.
