Lately we have been running the roads, touring the town, and staying up way too late. We enjoyed our time in North Carolina, as it was like being with family. It is really cool to have such a good group of friends who love us and encourage us even though we have only known them for such a short amount of time. We had a blast--- hanging out, going out to eat, bible study,

and just relaxing. It was a perfect first week to just unwind and breathe. No real schedule and nowhere really to be--- it was good. In all this we have been blown away at the many blessings the Lord has given us. We have been left saying, "I don't understand why the Lord is so good to us." It is humbling and I thank the Lord because He is

working this into my life. So thank you to all of our friends in North Carolina---- you guys are awesome! One highlight of our time was going and visiting some friends who now live in North Carolina, but are from Louisiana. We went over to their house and watched the LSU vs. Florida game--- which LSU won! This was the first game we have seen this year so that was

really cool to watch. We are hoping that if we get a satellite dish at our house we will be able to see the SEC Championship and maybe even the National Championship--- GEAUX TIGERS!

Monday we hit the road and came to Virginia. It was only a 5 hour drive, which is the shortest drive we will face in the weeks ahead. Thank the Lord we are driving a car with a GPS navigation system or we would have been lost 50 million times by now. It has been a huge blessing as we can just get an address off the Internet or from someone and just hop in the car and go. This has allowed us to feel more at home and not feeling up a creek unless someone can show us where to go or give us directions that may

not work out. This week we have been spending time with all of our friends here in Virginia getting ready for the Answering The Call annual banquet. This year the pastor from the middle east, who we were with in a few weeks ago, will be the guest speaker. We have had a good time hanging out with him this week, getting to know him and just enjoying life. Tonight some good friends, Don & Kim, from ATC took us all to a MercyMe concert which was really cool. They also took us on a

hike which let us see a 360 degree view of the area. We also were able to see a stand off with the police and someone under an interstate overpass--- there is a first time for everything, that was my first. Again, we are amazed at how the Lord has surrounded us with such great friends here in Roanoke who are such HUGE parts of ATC. A special thanks to the Weber family who has let us stay with them in their home even though we have spent little time with them! Sorry guys, I hope we can have a "Weber Day" before we leave. Our next stops in the weeks to come are Missouri, Florida, and Louisiana. Until then....

Hey Jason
I wish I knew you were going to be in Roanoke (I am guessing you have left by now) Brad and I live 30 minutes from there, we would have loved to have yall over. We almost went to the Mercy Me concert because my old roommate is married to one of the members, but she didn't come and Brad needed to study. Have a good time in the states. And let us know if you ever come back to Virginia.
Katy
