I had a good week and weekend. I studied a heck of a lot of español this week and the grammar is starting to come together. Not a whole lot went on during the week. I pretty much woke up, went to class, came home for a couple of hours and did internet courses or sent e-mails, went to my job (the tutoring deal), and then came home. I also played some XBOX as well, I actually beat Fernando in Fifa 2006 which I was pretty suprised since I was basically just hitting buttons, but somehow I won.Friday night was probably the highlight of my week. I went to a Shabbat (Sabbath) dinner with my spanish teacher and her family. Messianic Jews practice every Jewish in light of the Messiah, Jesus Christ. In the Hebrew calendar a day goes from sundown to sundown so Shabbat begins for Jews on our Friday night and ends on our Saturday night. It was an awesome experience-- tomorrow night I am going to one of the festivals based out of the book of Esther. The picture above isn´t me at Shabbat, but it is me! On Saturday I just hung out with Gracia and her friend Natalia (the girl who has part of the entire world in her ancestry). We went to some pool that Gracia´s family is a member of and Gracia found the need to take pictures of me that make me look lonely. So there I am with lonely old me. I spent the rest of yesterday just studying español. Oh yeah and let me back track a little bit. I encountered another Honduras-Asian experience. For like an hour Saturday morning I practiced my español
with this woman from Japan. She is here as a volunteer of some sort sent by the government of Japan to help teach nursing. She doesn´t really know spanish that well, and no english at all, so it was good practice for me to talk spanish and listen and try to figure out what she was saying.Today I went to Cortes, Honduras. It is a beach pretty close to Omoa (that place I went that had that cool castle deal). Gracia, Natalia, a friend of Gracia, and myself all went this morning to iglesia de playa. It was a very peaceful service, I think I will go back some other day. It was also a lot fun. We kind of just hung out under a little cabaña deal and walked the beach. We found some kind of tronco sticking out of the sand over the water and attempted to walk to the end of it about 50 times. That was pretty much the challenge of my day. So all in all it was a great time. I spent like $16 for the day and I ate and drank like a king. I would have spent more than that in the states just renting out the little cabaña on the beach for half of the day... pero aquí es gratis. ¡Viva Honduras!
Also, last week Jacob Schoen got the #1 Blogger Award. Well he lost it now since he didn´t blog at all this week. I guess Litmus Paper & Karen get it... How about let just make it a tie.
I didn´t take a lot of pictures, but I did post them so if your interested in seeing them here is the link: http://lsu.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2050156&l=fe631&id=23424351

I wonder who the comment above is from. Good thing they marked Anonymous.
It's your secret admirer, Allison Hood. I've been paying attention in spanish class lately.
I never knew you had a crush on me Allison! Good-- when I get back we can have a discussion on el verbo haber-- start studying subjuntivo presente, imperfecto, y futuro. Then let me know if your as confused as I am with them.
