¿Puedes decir langosta?

Well I just went to my last spanish class today. It is weird to think that I have been here for 6 weeks. I am now in the process of saying good-byes, thank-yous, and shutting down things down here in Honduras. It has been an awesome experience that I believe I can reflect on and remember for a long time. Last night, since it was one of my last nights, Javier, a friend of his, and I went back to Cortes just to hang out and I wanted to try lobster. It was a good time for me, but not so much for the lobster. It was good-- but it still will never compare to Louisiana crawfish. I am glad that crawfish season is approaching back home. We had a good time-- it was a little better than last Sunday where we eventually ended up at Church´s Chicken & the food was slightly better. All in all it was a good time. After we left we went to the police station because Javier´s friend got her phone stolen just before we picked her up and the police caught the guy and got the phone back. It was kind of weird because we were at the police station and I didn´t really see many policeman there.... we just king of walked right in and you could see a few jail cells there. I didn´t take any pictures because I didn´t know what they would do. But here his our marero picture.

I also went by the school for one last time today. The kids I have been hanging out with do not want me to go, and neither do I. It wasn´t that big of a deal to leave today because most likely I will see these kids again in June when Sarah and I return because they will still be in school. Hopefully I can stay in touch with some of them as several of them asked for my e-mail address. One kid named Aroldo was really cool. He gave me a dictionary when I first came to the school back in February. He also somehow developed a fascination with my CROCS--- I don´t know why... maybe if I remember I will get him a pair when I return in June. That his him to my right in the picture.

So I am pretty much finished here in Honduras. Hopefully one day I can return to do an even more intensive español study. I think what I will miss the most is being able to wake up-- walk out my door and hear people speaking in Spanish. So I will have to make the most of my remaining 2 and half days here. Tonight I will be going to celebrate Shabbat dinner with my spanish teacher and her family (Sabbath dinner for those of you who do not read transliterated Hebrew). So I am looking forward to that. I believe on Saturday I am just going to do a little shopping for hondureño things and spend time with the Garcias. I will let you know if something crazy happens.
