:::una mas:::

Well this week has been a good week. I had a lot of opportunity to practice my spanish and work on verb junk. The verbs are starting to make more and more sense but they are really hard. But one day in the next 20 years I will probably get it. I spent most of my week going to my spanish classes and studying back at the house. Occasionally I stopped by the school and hung out with the kids there and I beat Fernando again, actually 2 times in a row, in Fifa 2006 on XBOX. Monday was pretty cool. I had said in my last post that I was going to a Jewish festival from the book of Esther. Well I went and it was a lot of fun--- food, dancing, and the whole shebang. I had a lot of fun talking to them and
hearing why they do what they do. I also got to go and see another house that Sarah lived in. I think this is the last house they lived in here in Honduras.

I found out that they have really good sales here on like shoes and clothes. I got me a new pair of shoes for cheap as well as some shirts. I found this to be a very good aspect of Honduras-- along with an array of other things.

Yesterday was a lot of fun. No one down here celebrates St. Patrick´s day, I guess there just aren´t that many Irish here in Honduras. I did not see anyone celebrating, maybe they were all just celebrating in spirit. I went to some Arab restaurant and that was pretty good and then I went to an Italian restaurant to hang out with some soccer friends of Grace. We had a good time.

So a week from today I will be heading back to the states. I am excited about seeing everyone back home, but I have really enjoyed my time here. I have learned a ton of spanish, which is good since that is why I came down here, and I can´t wait to learn more. Certain things of the language were a lot harder than I expected (i.e. the 16 tenses / whatever you want to call them of the over 12,000 verbs there are in spanish). But I don´t have a problem with sitting down and learning why this or that is the way it is. I have really enjoyed understanding the language more and more. I definately think that the Lord has instilled a great foundation of the language in me, so that is always an exciting thing. I really wish I could stay longer, and Lord willing maybe one day I can return for a longer stay whether it be here or anywhere they speak another language.

I am not sure if I will keep this whole blog thing going once I get back to the states. Let me know if you think I should--- im not sure if I will have that many things that are interesting or significant.

Wow! The house has changed a bit. There used to be more plants and trees. I'm glad you got to see it. Of all the houses we lived in, that one was my favorite.

And that painting, you need to somehow slip it out of the Garcia's home and bring it with you because it is one of my favorite paintings as well. I'm sure they won't notice...= )

Yeah, um Karen, the party was not a surprise but the equinox part about it was...ahahaha...oh well. Can't WAIT till you come home mi amor! The sky is weeping over Denham Springs tonight because your presence has been long desired.

You guys do know that the equinox is on the 21st of March verdad?

Yeah we know but we figured we would make fake stand-up huevos in your honor.

Litmus paper, WHAT are you talking about? What would I not agree with?

Your other insights were sweet by the way. Papel de litmus es una buena amiga.

mmm...it was something more like..."That whole thing about 'time flies' is nothing but a brainwash." Same idea though.

I think the time has flown by. Am I brainwashed?
