We made it back from Indiana safely on Tuesday. I saw 4 deer (3 alive and 1 dead) and an owl perched in a tree somewhere in Illinois. The drive was pretty un-eventful--- I drove for 5 hours, Sarah slept--- Sarah drove for 5 hours, I slept and watched Hidalgo (for some reason I keep watching movies about horses--- maybe I should buy one)--- I drove for 2 hours, Sarah piddled--- and then we were finally home. I know by now my blogspot is probably sounding like a 90-year old grandmothers letter to her grandson who is away at college--- "Today I woke up and fed the cat.....I think I need to dust my blinds off one day..." So since my blog is somewhat boring, I decided to include this picture from my ninja training tonight. Not a whole lot has happened since we got back. I have just been piddling around running
erands, eating, sleeping late, and enjoying spending time with my beautiful wife (yo se que estas leyendo este-- necesita escribir en tu blog). Though it has been a fairly laggish week--- last night was great. I believe the final score was LSU 41 Notre Dame 14--- I hope we will get to catch a few games this fall on one of the local resteraunt's satellite dish. GEEEEAAAUUUXXX TIGERS!We went to a wedding reception of our friends who are missionaries in Ecuador-- Francisco y Juanita Vargas... felizidades. It was good to see them and hear about what all is going on in their lives. Hopefully we will formulate a trip sometime next fall with them since we will only be a few hours apart.
It has rained almost this entire day. So usually with an ole' muggy Louisiana rainy day you have immense boardom! Up until just a few moments ago the day was so-so. Sarah's cat drug his kill out of the Louisiana rain forest a few moments ago and I thought it would be a
shame if I didn't share at least one photo of this breaking news. I would share more, but some may be offended/grossed out. I will add that the mouse was still moving around though half of his body resided in the stomach of Rupert.

OUR cat. Funny how when we don't like things they become his or her.
Thanks, I think you're more than pleasant to look at too and spending real time with you when both of us are coherent has been awesome!
